Fitting Instruction - Donjoy Pol'Ax 1 Thumb Support

The Donjoy Pol'Ax 1 Thumb Support is heat mouldable to ensure the optimum fit to your thumb. The thumb brace is delivered vacuum-packed in a plastic sheath.

Simply immerse the plastic pouch with the brace inside in water that has been heated to 70 degrees Celcius. Let the brace "soak" for 3 to 6 minutes in the pouch to enable it to soften ready for fitting. Remove the brace and pouch from the water and place the brace on the affected thumb and close the straps. Hold the brace in place until completely cool. The thumb brace will return to its original rigidity. This should now fit perfectly to your thumb.

If modifications are required, the Donjoy Pol'Ax 1 Thumb Support can be remoulded by repeating the procedure.

Please watch the youtube clip (sorry it is not in English) in this listing on how to mould the thumb support. Note : The thumb support must be "soak' in the hot water and 'heat up' in microwave. Please refer to fitting instruction above.
